Automation is not properly my area of work. But I need to specify, or at least suggest some PLCs for our application. It needs very fast scan times.
Could you suggest me starting points for that?

Hi Bernard. "Fastest" is not a touchable value; you may develop your idea. The speed of a PLC will depend on so many factors... Should your application require complex calculation or sub millisecond counter card will not use the same processor time; you will maybe need a specific card or coprocessor in your rack. If you manage communication in your PLC, you increase scan time; using exernal communication card can save scan time. Your request is too wide to reply as is to your request...
